Welcome to TV Detectives

I'm Steve Keogh, the founder of TV Detectives and a former police officer. With over 30 years of experience with the Metropolitan Police, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the world of true crime television. I spent half my career as a Scotland Yard detective investigating murder and terrorism, culminating in my role as a Detective Inspector. During my tenure, I honed my skills in solving complex cases, making critical decisions under pressure, and leading successful investigations.

Since retiring from the force, I have transitioned into the television industry, leveraging my extensive background to bring authenticity and depth to true crime programming.

I have recently hosted my own TV series, "Secrets of a Murder Detective," which has run for two successful seasons, totalling 20 episodes. This experience has allowed me to build a network of valuable contacts in the world of True Crime on TV. These include researchers, journalists, producers, directors, and fellow consultants. I also consult on crime drama scripts.

In addition to my TV work, I maintain strong connections within the policing community. This blend of real-world expertise and television experience makes me the ideal person to bridge the gap between former detectives and the True Crime TV industry.

At TV Detectives, our mission is to connect skilled former detectives with exciting opportunities in television, ensuring that every project benefits from the highest level of authenticity and expertise.

Whether you're a production company looking to enhance your true crime content, a film company requiring an authentic review on a screenplay, or a former detective eager to share your knowledge, TV Detectives is here to facilitate that connection.
