“What experience should I have?”
We are looking for detectives with various backgrounds, including all types of serious crime, reactive and proactive policing and safeguarding. If you’ve worked as a detective, you will have valuable experience and knowledge to share.
"What type of projects can I work on?"
You may be asked to contribute as an expert in your field in a case you weren’t involved in or talk about a previous investigation of your own. You may also have the opportunity to provide consultation about authenticity and procedure.
"How much time commitment is required?"
Filming normally takes place in a day, however, some projects may be longer. Production companies are usually flexible in scheduling their work around your availability.
"How is my personal information protected?"
The information we collect is to be able to match you to relevant projects. We will never share your information without your permission, and only with production companies with whom you may work. You can review our privacy policy in the link below.
"Will I be paid for my contributions?"
We will ensure you are paid a fee that reflects your experience. Having worked in this field for several years, Steve now has a good knowledge of what you should earn for the work you do.
“Will I have to pay for this service?”
It is completely free to register with us and will only pay commission on what you earn. We will invoice the production companies you work with. We will then apply an industry-standard commission of 15%-20%, before paying you the remainder of your fee.
“Am I contracted to TV Detectives?”
No, you are not contracted to TV Detectives and are free to pursue work independently. We believe in providing flexible opportunities without binding commitments.
“What is the expectation for future work with production companies introduced by TV Detectives?”
We kindly request that any future work you undertake with a production company introduced through TV Detectives, be arranged through us. This ensures a smooth process and allows us to invoice the company directly while applying our standard commission. This practice helps maintain our service quality and supports our operations.
“What happens if a detective does not adhere to this expectation?”
If a detective chooses not to follow this guideline, they may be removed from our database and will not be considered for future opportunities through TV Detectives. Our goal is to create a mutually beneficial relationship, and adhering to this expectation ensures fairness and continuity for all parties involved.
